Eco Swim

Eco Swim by Aqua Green is where sustainability meets cutting edge design in the swim industry. Not only do we have a passion for preserving the environment through making our swimwear from sustainable materials but, we walk the walk by participating in beach and waterway clean ups to remove tons of trash from our oceans. Eco Swim by Aqua Green is a company that understands that happiness comes from the ability to follow your passions: great swimwear and building a better world.

Our parent company is a 4th generation family business based in the Lehigh Valley. Although our growth has occurred globally, we still design, fit, source, cut and sew in Pennsylvania.

As a company, we have a Safety Committee that has been in place for over 25 years. From this committee, about 5 years ago a "Green Team" emerged. Both focus on an innovative future for the company, the well-being of all associates, as well as leading ecological initiatives which reduce your carbon footprint in the sand.
Some of these initiatives include simple changes such as a corporate ban on purchases of styrofoam, recycling of all paper, plastics, light bulbs, and color cartridges. Some more complicated efforts include sustainable fabric initiatives with long term fabric suppliers, as seen in our AQUA GREEN division. As a leader in philanthropy with a local focus, we are committed to the families of our associates as well as the community.

"When our great grandfather started this company 72 years ago, the oceans and beaches were cleaner places. Four generations later, in a world with polluted water and dirty beaches, ECO SWIM by AQUA GREEN is answering a call to restore our oceans' health. By making our swimsuits in the US and using fabrics made from recycled materials, we are reducing our carbon footprint in the sand so that our beaches can be enjoyed by the next four generations." - Samantha & Alex.

ECO SWIM Mission Statement

• Our mission is to provide fashionable, excellent quality, and planet-friendly swimwear.
• We will achieve this by embracing sustainable technologies and methods, hence reducing our carbon footprint in the sand.
• Our vision is to be the most sustainable swimwear manufacturer on the planet.

We're not there yet, but with every sunrise we try harder.

Every revolution has a leader. For the revolution in eco-friendly apparel, Eco Swim by Aqua Green is leading the charge for a better and more sustainable tomorrow.

In a world with overflowing landfills and polluted oceans, the time has come to take meaningful action that reduces the burden on our planet. As a 4th generation family company, we believe that doing our part is the responsibility of mothers and fathers and of daughters and sons. In essence, we believe that our family has a responsibility to your family to reduce our environmental impact.

As important as it is to reduce, reuse, and recycle, we also believe that those looking to reduce their carbon footprint in the sand should look and feel great while doing so. Because the state of the environment affects us all on our personal level, our swimsuit designs are inspired by the latest trends coming out of European fashion houses so that each one makes the wearer feel great.

We all share one planet. We don't get another shot. We want the world to be a better place for future generations, and so with every new sunrise, we take one step closer to reducing our carbon footprint in the sand.

good housekeeping

Eco Swim by Aqua Green received a Good Housekeeping endorsement! Eco Swim suits were reviewed, tested and verified by the Good Housekeeping lab team. Their endorsement is just another reason why Eco Swim can be trusted. "It's one of the only swimwear collections on the market that's taking steps to lower its impact on the planet... if you're concerned about the planet and need a new suit, hit the stores and pick up an Eco Swim!"

reprevelogo

Repreve is a brand of fabrics made from 100% recycled materials. Using innovative technology, the company combines post-consumer waste (plastic bottles) and industrial waste (nylon) to create high quality yarn. The company is one of the leaders in the "upcycle" movement to find significant use for waste materials and used-up products.

Some of Eco Swim products are made with Repreve fabric, limiting our carbon footprint and providing a meaningful use for otherwise useless materials. In addition, Repreve donates a portion of each company sale to Environmental causes, and allows customers to vote to determine where those proceeds will go. So if you buy from Eco Swim you'll be able to contribute to the environmental organization of your choice with one click of a button. Just one more reason to sport the Eco Swim look the next time you head for the water.
